Plot

You know the thought you have every now and then – the one where you walk out of a movie and think to yourself “Just because they can make it, doesn’t mean they should.” Yeah, you’ll likely experience the same thought if you watch The Emoji Movie.

We were going to write the plot line in a funny, witty manner – but we simply couldn’t top IMDB’s.

Gene, a multi-expressional emoji, sets out on a journey to become a normal emoji.

If you do make the courageous decisions to catch The Emoji Movie in theaters, make sure you don’t pay full price. Please. We have a category dedicated to movie ticket coupons and deals.

Plot

If you have strong opinions on the everlasting climate change debate, An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power just rose to the top of your to-watch list for the weekend.

As the title suggests, this movie is a sequel to An Inconvenient Truth (2006), which was one of the main drivers in bringing climate change into the light of pop culture. This time, Al Gore brings together a compelling case to further the expansion of renewable energy.

Plot

Have you ever heard of an ultra-orthodox Jew? Neither had we. Apparently, this movie has many of them in it so we should probably tell you what they are.

Ultra Orthodox Jews are religious fundamentalists who can be found living in segregated communities in parts of North America, Europe and Israel. Ultra Orthodox communities also exclude Jews who do not adhere to their strict religious laws. (source)

Now – the plot of the movie.

Within Brooklyn’s ultra-orthodox Jewish community, a widower battles for custody of his son. A tender drama performed entirely in Yiddish, the film intimately explores the nature of faith and the price of parenthood.

Plot

It’s the 1950s, life’s pretty dandy, you’re living in the recovering country of France, soon to be one of the world’s leading nations – what could go wrong?

A lot.

Gabrielle is passionate. Gabrielle is free-spirited. Gabrielle is an explorer. Unfortunately, Gabrielle is also in a loveless marriage, riddled with kidney stones, and about to commit aldutery.

Sounds pretty dramatic to us. Maybe that’s why it’s in the drama genre? Who knows.
